Why GSM is a Point-Based System?

The GSM program allocates points to the candidates based on education, work experience, and language skills. The more score you gain in GSM, the more chances you have to get a visa invitation through this system.

What is the Minimum Score Required to Get a Visa under the GSM Program?

A candidate should score a minimum of 65 points to get a visa through the Australian Skilled Migration Program.

How Points are awarded in the GSM System?

Given that it is a point-based system, a candidate gets points under certain criteria, including age, language proficiency, employment experience, language skills, and spouse/partner skills and qualifications.

How to Get More Points for the Visas Issued Under the GSM Program?

Like we said before, the more GSM points you earned, the stronger your chances to get a visa.

While you can score for the categories like age, language proficiency, qualifications, and work experience, you can try other ways to boost your GSM points. It will give you a competitive edge over the other candidates, thereby improving your chances.

Here’s how you can score more in the GSM program.

This test allocates 5 ADDITIONAL POINTS to skilled migration on its successful completion. Candidates will be tested on their ability to interpret two recorded dialogues based on a conversation taking place between English and their preferred language other than English.

The points will be awarded on your ability to interpret the meaning and sense of what each speaker expressed, with only a five-second delay permitted after the completion of each unit. You have to show good comprehension of both English and the language other than English (LOTE).
