St. Ambrose University is a private, coeducational, liberal arts university affiliated with the Roman Catholic Diocese of Davenport in the United States. College is affiliated with the member of the Higher Learning Commission. Our main campus is situated in central Davenport, which is on the Iowa side of the Mississippi River.

The university was independent, diocesan and Catholic among other universities in United States. We enable our students to develop intellectually, spiritually, ethically, socially, artistically and physically to enrich their own lives and the lives of others. We offer a strong variety of undergraduate and graduate academic programs. With a strong emphasis on the liberal arts, undergraduate students must take a wide variety of general education courses in philosophy, theology, arts/humanities, and the sciences. Notable programs include one of the only Master of Occupational Therapy programs leading to a registered occupational therapist degree in the state of Lowa. There are 11 master’s degree programs and three doctoral programs: physical therapy, occupational therapy and business administration.

Our faculty and staff share their skills and talents through board service and volunteer activities. At least half of our faculty members serve on at least one community board or advisory committee. Almost two-thirds volunteer for a community organization. The university employs 350 faculty members and 314 staff. The student-faculty ratio is approximately 11 to 1 with an average class size of 20 students. We have 2,743 of these students were undergraduates and 864 were graduate students.
