Loyalist College officially opened its doors in 1967. The college is famous for its strong community resolve, determination, pioneering presence and forward-thinking leaders. Loyalist has continued to improve and grow, adding more ground-breaking programs. Two years later, the demand for more space and resourceful teaching led to the construction of the Lennox and Addington Wing to house the School of Technology and Retraining.
Loyalist pioneers are settled along with the northern serene shores of Lake Ontario and make prominent communities across eastern Ontario. Loyalist continues to strive for these impressive standings and now ranks among the top colleges in Canada.
The demand for more skilled trade workers inspired an additional expansion in 2010-11 with the construction of the Bay of Quinte Skills Centre. Today, the Loyalist name prominently graces the doors at Loyalist College and continues to grow, improve and lead the way for post-secondary education.
