East Los Angeles College was established in 1945. ELAC is one of the nine public community colleges within the Los Angeles Community College District in a real time environment with a multicultural student body that supplements the 14 groups including its essential administration zone. The college provides both academic transfer courses and professional programs which prepare the students for careers within two years or less.
For the previous years, ELAC enables more than 1,000 students to exchange to the University of California and California State University frameworks. Forty-seven percent of our students are targeting on transferring to a 4-year school and 18 percent are working towards career. Faculty services are designed to provide assistance and access to college services. East Los Angeles College offers different remarkable scholarly and vocation programs intended to prepare students for exchange to a college or begin and land a position upon graduation. For the couple of years ELAC has taught a larger number of Hispanics than whatever other junior college in California and reliably positioned in the main ten broadly.
