Vice President, International

Appointed Niagara College’s vice president of international in January 2021, Sean Coote leads the College’s global engagement initiatives; international student recruitment; international student services; the School of English Language Studies; and global partnerships, campuses and training,including Niagara College’s KSA operations

Sean has been part of the Niagara College community for more than 30 years, beginning his career as a summer program coordinator in the International department and progressing to an International student advisor, manager of International Recruitment and Services, and director, International. He is a proud Niagara College business graduate and also holds a masters in organizational leadership

Over the past two decades, Sean has become one of the leading international education experts in the Ontario college system and has lead the development of a balanced international strategy for Niagara College. Under his leadership as the director, International for 11 years, international enrolments at Niagara College grew to over 5,000 students from more than 100 countries in ostsecondary programs across the College, along with strong growth in study/work abroad under the Be World Ready program. Committed to student success, Sean has lead the development of a very comprehensive international student support system at Niagara College, which boasts consistent graduation rates of over 90%. Sean also leads NC KSA’s campus operations.
